THE TALENT OF THE ARCHITECT ARTIST
Eduardo Souto de Moura, born in 1952, studied architecture at the School of Fine Arts of Porto and at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto. His work has developed and established itself in Portugal and abroad. The cities portrayed in Souto de Moura's current serigraphy are not just an extension of the architect's masterful lines, who has been awarded the highest distinctions in his profession, such as the Pritzker Prize for Architecture in 2011, awarded since 1979 to the greatest names in world architecture. Instead, they assert a unique style, the counterpoint of geometry and line, and the rebellious and orchestrated strokes of color in a true ballet, or rather in a plastic and sensory calligraphy that reveals the full talent of the architect artist.
