Fables for Adults by Gabriel Garcia (b.1977) is an exploration of various artistic mediums including painting, drawing, graphic design, sculpture, and installation. Garcia's work is influenced by the foundational art movements of the 20th century, such as expressionism, metaphysical painting, surrealism (1924), and narrative figuration. Additionally, his work reflects the mythology of consumer society, which revolves around the power of images to reproduce reality and create their own fiction. Drawing inspiration from cinema, magazines, the internet, as well as fables and children's stories, Garcia's serigraphs captivate with their freshness, apparent innocence, and humor in their representation.
