FABLES FOR ADULTS
Gabriel Garcia (b. 1977) has been dedicated to painting, drawing, graphic work, sculpture, and installation. Throughout his career, he blends various influences and aligns himself with some of the founding aspects of 20th-century art, such as expressionism, metaphysical painting, surrealism (1924), and narrative figuration. He also explores the myths of consumer society, which are centered around the power of images that reproduce both reality and their own fiction. In addition to these references, his work is influenced by cinema, magazines, the internet, and the universe of fables and children's stories, which are prominently featured in his serigraphs. These artworks enchant us with their freshness, apparent innocence, and humor in their representation.
