CRITICAL REMARKS THE LESSON OF OBJECTS Marcello Nitsche (1942), painter, sculptor, printmaker, professor, graduated in drawing from the School of Fine Arts in São Paulo (1969). Starting with printmaking, the artist would later dedicate himself to painting and also installation. His interest in gesturalism led him to conceive a sculpture titled "Three-dimensional Brushstroke" (Parque da Luz, São Paulo, 2000). In the present works, objects are a metaphor for the gestures and actions they are associated with. Objects of painting, brushes inside a glass, seemingly imprisoned, but to which the blue color of the container gives an unexpected freedom. Between restraint and openness to the imaginary, between the gesture suggested by the water (origin of life) that frees itself from a broken glass and the outline of a new language, once again blue, the artist's creative adventure is thus summarized through the lesson of objects in which he is the protagonist.
