Ricardo Mojardin
Ricardo Mojardin was born in 1956 in Asturias, Spain. In 1984, he participated in the Contemporary Art Workshop with José Guerrero at the CÃrculo de Belas Artes in Madrid. He graduated in 1985 with a degree in Advertising Design from the School of Art in Oviedo. From 1987 to 2016, he taught as a Professor of Printmaking at the School of Art in Oviedo. He was also a professor in the "Relief Printmaking" course offered by the Ministry of Culture of the Principality of Asturias, as well as the "Artist Books" course at the Popular University of Gijón.
In 2000, he was the invited artist at the Frans Masereel Centrum in Kasterlee, Belgium. In 2009, he was also the invited artist at the "5th International Printmaking Workshop" at the Center for Graphic Art and Visual Research in Belgrade.
He is a painter, printmaker, and creator of installations, artist books, and public space works. He has held over forty solo exhibitions in Spain, France, Ecuador, Serbia, and Germany, and has participated in art fairs and group exhibitions in Europe, South America, the United States, Canada, and Japan.
Throughout his career, he has been awarded prestigious painting and printmaking prizes, including the Painting Prize from the General Council of the Principality of Asturias and the National Printmaking Prize from the Museum of Contemporary Spanish Printmaking.
His works are represented in various museums and public and private institutions in Europe, America, and Japan.
