BETWEEN SILKSCREEN PRINTING AND SCULPTURE
Manuel d'Olivares, who was born in Angola and currently lives and works between Barcelona and Paris, presents his latest work inspired by urban spaces in which he has experienced his personal and artistic journey. This collection, showcased at the recent exhibition in Palácio Foz, Lisbon, combines humor and fantasy with a touch of the Pop art movement. The vibrant colors and the prominent presence of writing, derived from the foundation of silkscreen printing, are evident in his current sculpture pieces. Rather than concealing, they reveal a kind of outcry, a demand for the right to dream that is often overlooked by our society, but is truly its essence.
