Partnership:
In his series "Gazes", Colombian artist Guillermo Vellez showcases his mastery. Created without any previous study, each layer is drawn directly onto the silk screen, resulting in a frieze of great dramatic intensity and suggestive chromaticism, punctuated by the use of black. These tormented images remind us of important references in contemporary art, such as Francis Bacon, as well as a gallery of expressive characters that portray the timeless face of humanity, a form that Goya gave shape to in his engravings.
