Abstract Cosmogonies
A gestuality of cosmic meaning, evoked by the circle that encloses the composition, aligns Paul Mathieu's artistic language with the trend that made the French painter famous. This abstraction is inspired by the discovery of oriental art and the symbolic values of visual language. In this composition, grand elemental rhythms translate the movements and atmospheres of an initial cosmogony.
