In this serigraphy composition, Óscar Alves brings his dreamt studio to life through a dialogue with the famous painting "Las Meninãs" by Spanish artist Velásquez. This citation refines and geometrizes the spaces, cutting out the silhouettes and shadows in a theatrical manner that transforms the characters into somewhat ghostly mannequins.

The artist's creative process is evident in his meticulous attention to detail and the careful arrangement of elements within the composition. The use of serigraphy as a medium adds depth and texture to the artwork, enhancing the overall visual impact.

Through this artwork, Alves invites the viewer to question the nature of reality and representation, blurring the line between the tangible and the ethereal. The ghostly presence of the mannequins creates an eerie atmosphere, challenging our perception and inviting us to reflect on the transient nature of existence.

Óscar Alves is a renowned Portuguese artist known for his thought-provoking and visually captivating works. His unique style combines elements of surrealism and abstraction, resulting in artworks that engage and captivate the viewer. With his mastery of various artistic techniques, Alves continues to push the boundaries of traditional art forms, creating innovative and compelling pieces that leave a lasting impression.
