Klaus Zylla
Born in Cottbus, Germany, in 1953. He studied at the School of Arts in Berlin from 1980 to 1982. In 1986, he opened a screen printing workshop and has since held several exhibitions. In 1993, he received the Art Prize from the Grundkredit Bank in Berlin. Currently, he divides his time between Berlin and Reguendo Pequeno, Portugal.
Klaus Zylla's works have a strong calligraphic component - both through the inclusion of texts and words and through the calligraphic style of painting and drawing - and they are populated by hybrid and imaginary figures, often a combination of animal and human forms.
