Margarida Dias has been exhibiting black and white photography since 1986. Born in Lisbon in 1966, she has been teaching at Arco since 1990, where she also obtained her degree. The photographs she presents today portray still lifes of great sensitivity and refined aesthetic sense, which could easily be titled "living nature". The details of the plant kingdom captured in her work are delicate illuminations, metaphors for a spirit attentive to the treasures and metamorphoses of the earth.
