In this artwork, João Alfaro explores the nostalgia of childhood through a sensitive figuration. His world is a silent realm where characters from a revisited everyday life coexist peacefully with the icons of urban melancholy and nature. In this somewhat Magrittean image, the boundaries between interior and exterior space blend together under the ambiguous and unsettling presence of a woman with her back turned to the scene, where a hobby horse becomes a nostalgic symbol of childhood.
