Born in Cali, Colombia, on June 25th, 1960, the artist attended the "Angel Maria Valencia" School of Fine Arts in Cali from 1980 to 1984.
In 1983, the artist took courses in Screen Printing and Photo-Screen Printing at the Museum of Modern Art "La Tertulia" in Cali, and in 1984, studied Metal Engraving with Master Helio Salcedo. The artist completed the Contemporary Aesthetics course at the National Society of Fine Arts in Lisbon in 1989, and in 1991, studied Portuguese Art of the 20th Century at the Ar.Co in Lisbon.
For three years, the artist worked as a screen printing printer at the "Corporación Prografia" studio in Cali and taught fine arts at the Free University of Cali in 1986 and at Colégio Idea in 1987. Since January 1988, the artist has been residing in Portugal and has exhibited their work both nationally and internationally.
