Luis Fega

Born in 1952 in Piantón, Asturias, Spain, this self-taught painter had his first exhibition at the Círculo Mercantil de Santiago de Compostela. During this period, his works were characterized by a bold brushstroke and the use of a lot of material. In 1983, he received a grant for young artists from the Ministry of Culture, and in 1987, another grant from the Principality of Asturias. In the 80s, he was a member of the Galego Atlántica group, along with Menchu Lamas and Antón Patiño. His paintings featured subdued forms and a muted color palette. He has participated in several editions of the ARCO Fair in Madrid and the Estampa Fair in Madrid, Spain, as well as numerous collective and solo exhibitions. His works can be found in numerous public and private collections.
