This artwork is featured in the Catalog Raisonné "Les Estampes de Xavier 2001-2022", published by Editions Boulamiel in 2023.
Xavier, a French artist of Spanish descent, is connected to Picasso through family ties. In this composition, set against a deep underwater blue, the fluid lines and imprecise contours of the figures create a universe reminiscent of surrealistic aesthetics.
