In this artwork by Ferreira da Silva, his passion for landscapes that reflect intimate feelings and nostalgia is evident. The vast and luminous horizon beckons as a space for escape, contrasting with the presence of the trees in the foreground, which invite rest and contemplation.
João Ferreira da Silva
Born in Lisbon in 1940, João Ferreira da Silva attended Liceu and Escola António Arroio. He studied drawing and painting with the renowned artist Joaquim Gomes Baptista, a representative of the Porto School.
