João Maio Pinto was born in Caramulo in 1974. He graduated in Communication Design from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Porto and has since developed a career as an illustrator and graphic designer, collaborating with various publications and publishers such as Observer, Internazionale, Blitz, Silva!Designers, Público, Groovie Records, M2 graphics, Rock Bar Sabotage, Abysmo, Terratreme, Equations/Lovers & Lollypops, among others. He is also a professor in the Design department of the School of Arts and Design in Caldas da Rainha. With a passion for vibrant colors and bold shapes, João’s artwork explores the intersection between illustration, graphic design, and fine arts. His distinctive style captivates viewers with its playful yet thought-provoking compositions. Inspired by nature, music, and everyday life, João’s work reflects his unique perspective and creative vision.
