Erró

Born in 1932 in Iceland, the artist studied at the Academy of Art in Reykjavik, the Academy of Art in Oslo, and the Academy of Art in Florence. However, they have been based in Paris since 1958. Their work is part of the European Pop Art movement, known as “Narrative Figuration.” This artistic current seeks to observe and absorb contemporary society, expressing itself primarily through the interpretation of its contradictions and dilemmas. The artist has exhibited in major contemporary art museums and is represented in renowned institutions such as the Betzalel Museum in Jerusalem, Pompidou in Paris, the Museum of Modern Art in Tel Aviv, Stockholm, Reykjavik, New York, Tokyo, Bern, Berlin, Washington, Munich, Lisbon, Vancouver, and Havana.
